Wings of Inspiration Care Centre is a non-profit organisation (NPO) based in Roodepoort, Johannesburg. The centre aims to be the solution to the social problems faced by families in need.
The organisation prides itself in supporting worthy causes through the donations received from generous people and organisations.
It was founded in 2016 after founders, Kirsten Richardson and Anthea Da Costa, inherited some money. Since then, they have devoted their lives to helping those less fortunate and being of service to communities in need.
The initial goal was to open a women’s shelter for impoverished and widowed women with children.
Wings of Inspiration has several success stories and many projects that they facilitate such as the Covid-19 Emergency Food Responses, Stationery & Uniform Drives, Christmas Drives, Community Outreach Support for Single Mothers/Fathers and Soup Kitchens.
The organisation needs financial assistance or donations that can benefit the less fortunate.
The donation to their Women and Children's shelter is a month’s worth of groceries and backpacks for the children in the Day Care Centre.
The Day Care Centre and the Play School aim to provide educational activities to underprivileged children to prepare them for when they go off to school. They also receive breakfast and lunch with two snacks during the day. It costs approximately R500 per month to feed each child.
All forms of donations such as food, clothing and financial donations are welcome.
