LottoStar’s May Money Madness competition on Kfm 94.5 has come to an inspiring close. Beyond the unforgettable wins, this campaign drove something even more powerful: awareness.
At the heart of May Money Madness was a call to action – to open the conversation around organ donation and encourage South Africans to register as organ donors through Save7.
Awareness First. Always.
Save7 is more than just an organisation – it’s a movement transforming how South Africa sees organ donation. From building support systems for patients waiting for transplants, to launching the Time Capsule, a platform where donors can record voice notes to share their final wishes with loved ones – Save7 is turning awareness into action and action into real change.
Looking Ahead: A Second LifePod
The funds raised through May Money Madness will go toward the creation of a second LifePod – a state-of-the-art donor ICU designed to preserve organs for transplant.
The first LifePod has already been completed and will be officially unveiled at Tygerberg Hospital on 4 June 2025. Thanks to the success of this campaign, a second LifePod will now be possible helping even more families, saving even more lives.
The new unit will feature advanced organ preservation technology, ensuring more viable organs reach the patients who need them most.
